The Retail Revolution

The Brief
We set ourselves the challenge of continuing our series of knowledge sharing events with a focus on digital retail with #CultHosts: The Retail Revolution.

What we did
The best way to experience technology is to try it rather than to hear about it.  So, we created a fully digital pop-up shop under the arches of Shoreditch’s overground train. We hosted ten of the most innovative retail technology companies who demonstrated to our influential guests what is to come of the retail experience. With speakers from Selfridges, AllSaints, and Adidas, we discussed how young nimble brands are leading in this rapidly changing field.

The Results
Over 200 industry professionals attended the evening and we discovered new technologies to benefit our clients as well as welcome back lots of familiar faces from the previous #CultHosts.

We created a correlating trend report from the event, looking at how digital technology is enhancing the retail experience more so than ever before. Looking at everything from mobile couponing at Tesco, purchase payments via iPhone at Apple and iBeacon technology at John Lewis. The full trend report is available to view below.

Thank you to our wonderful sponsors: Bloom GinMightyBee Coconut Water and Remeo Gelato.

Finally, a special thanks to our panel members:

  • Kathryn Ferguson, Resident Film Director at Selfridges.
  • OJ Deady, Global Social Media Analyst at All Saints.
  • Gemma Lacey, Content Creator and Marketer.

Thank you all and we look forward to seeing you at the next #CultHosts!
