Head of US Accounts – Cult

This is a rare and incredible opportunity with an award winning, industry leading agency, Cult. We are on the lookout for our next Head of US Accounts.

Reporting into the Managing Director, the Head of US Accounts will be the senior point of contact on all US based clients with the ability to sell new ideas and solutions, strengthen client relations and champion our agency offering. Ultimately, they should be able to increase growth and build successful long-term client relationships, while leading an ambitious team.


Account leadership  

  • Strategic point of escalation and contact for senior clients to establish strong relationships
  • Work across all departments to bring creative solutions to prospective clients and to grow the current client business
  • Ensure brand consistency and excellence in account management
  • Use knowledge and skills to push clients, the team and the agency in the most productive direction in the best interest of the agency and the client/brand
  • Identifies opportunities for growth within US agency accounts

Strategic development and planning

  • Take responsibility for developing strategy and proposals
  • Has regular communication and liaison with MD and Senior Management Team
  • Is seen as the strategic partner for clients and their brands, with a flexible and quick working nature

Team management and development

  • Directly line manages up to 2/3 team members
  • Lead and motivates the project and account teams
  • Lead team appraisal, development and training programme

Finance and forecasting

  • Deliver against and achieve sales targets with support of the Senior Management Team and drive specific performance metrics, aligned with business strategies
  • Produce and monitor clear account growth plans on a quarterly basis with the MD and FD.

Business development

  • Proactively identify opportunities for growth amongst existing US accounts and plan to achieve this growth
  • Work closely with and CSO to explore opportunities outside of the traditional and physical advertising landscape (e.g. Metaverse)

Communication and presentation

  • Use client feedback to improve all client experience
  • Pitch fresh and innovative ideas to clients with direction from the CSO and Creative Team
  • Take responsibility for generating proposals and presentations


  • Significant experience in professional client relationship management (min 8-10 years)
  • Experience in growing (multiple) existing and new accounts
  • A solid background in advertising or marketing
  • The ability to plan and strategise at a senior level
  • A persuasive and confident approach to creative projects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Effective team management capabilities – a clear ability to galavanise a team
  • A keen attention to detail and budgetary restraints
  • Full awareness of creative processes and techniques (across all media)
  • The ability to work as a leader in a busy and ambitious team
  • The ability to read and evaluate sales performance metrics
  • Experience of handling multiple large budgets
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills

Salary: £70k+ (based on experience)
